Analysis of the two major process difficulties in injection molding of paint-free materials
1. Materials are relatively easy to degrade
Due to the special pigment and metal pigment added in the resin, during the processing of the material, under the action of temperature and shear force, the metal color is easy to act as a catalyst and cause the degradation of the material, resulting in the production of gas marks or silver wire on the surface of the product, or even the surface of the air holes and the degradation of the material, such as yellowing and other undesirable phenomena.
2. Metal pigment is easy to be arranged along the shear direction.
If the injection speed is too high and the shear is too big, the metallic pigment will be dispersed along the shear direction, which will produce fusion marks and flow marks on the surface of the product and affect the appearance of the product.
Although no-spray materials have so many advantages, in practical application, automobile enterprises still choose relatively few no-spray materials. The reason is that some of the properties of paintless materials are not as good as those of painted plastics, such as scratch resistance.
With fewer coating layers, the surface friction of paintless materials is higher and easier to scratch under the same hardness. For automotive companies that have harsh requirements for scratch resistance, no-spray materials do have a weakness.
No spray: mold first, structure second, material third.
In order to spray-free hit out the effect is good, high-gloss mold with the inevitable; in addition, the product structure is also very important, the current market spray-free technology is not suitable for playing the complex product structure, prone to pinch line, flow marks and other injection molding process; relatively speaking, the material is the easier of the three to achieve.
Therefore, in the actual production of reasonable mold design and injection molding process with the preparation of perfect parts!
